Several things have alarmed me and tell me I'm not using Xanga enough. First, I couldn't remember my login, not even realising that it didn't required an e-mail address (only after I had tried every e-mail/password combination did I realise). Second, it took me almost 10 minutes to work out how to write a new blog (I'm sure it used to be easier). Thirdly, well kinda 1.5ish as it was between 1 and 2, whilst looking for 2... I saw that the post at the bottom of the first page is 9 months old! What have I been up to? Last proper post was on the first day of my TEFL course. Passed it well, having taught many lessons, eaten far too much chocolate from the co-op next to the school and behaved generally like a nutter in the face of the busiest workload since my PGCE. Along the way I made some great friendships and some fruit-based phonemes. For pictures, see my facebook profile. Also in the last 3 months... I have been camping 3 times, a weekend camp with Cubs where we took 23 away on a very hot day, and we had one of the best water fights ever, nothing better on a hot humid day. When dry, the Cubs embarked on the assault course and got caked in mud. Some say I got the order wrong there... hmmm On the mud front, Sixers and Seconders camp brought the opportunity to assist with potholing, and my philosophy of 'getting involved' and 'leading by example' led to ripped trousers and a glastonbury-esque appearance, with mud fights 6 feet below in the pitch black a particular highlight. At the moment, I am working at 2 language schools, still doing some primary school supply teaching, looking for jobs for September, running a cub pack, leading a small group, helping with megamix at church and planning a weekend camp for mid-july and a week long camp 2 weeks later. Busy? I've re-defined the word. |
